The repair command 3 was one of the repair commands of the army of the Bundeswehr . The headquarters were in Koblenz . The repair command was part of the corps troops of III. Corps .

The repair command bundled the units of the repair troops at the level of the corps . history

The repair command was set up around 1967 in anticipation of the takeover of Army Structure III . From 1972 at the latest, the location of the staff was the Rhine barracks in Koblenz . For the supply as the second pillar of the logistics corps of "sister organization" was replenishment command 3 responsibility.

After the end of the Cold War , the repair command was set up around 1993 at about the same time as the III. Corps decommissioned.

Association badge

Internal association badge of the staff / staff company

Due to its planning as part of the dependent corps troops, the repair command did not have its own association badge . The soldiers therefore wore the association badge of the higher corps.

As a “badge”, the internal association badge of the staff and the staff company “ pars pro toto ” was sometimes used imprecisely for the entire repair team. In the right field of the shield it showed the federal eagle in the golden coat of arms, very similar to the III. Corps; in the left field as an indication of the electronic and mechanical systems to be repaired, a stylized atomic model and, similar to the beret badge of the repair troop, a gearwheel. The blue color of the left field corresponded to the blue weapon color of the military type.
