The Office for Army Development ( AHEntwg ) in the Konrad-Adenauer-Kaserne in Cologne is an office of the Army of the German Armed Forces . It is a command authority at the divisional level .

assignment

The Office for Army Development is responsible for the conception, training , organization and material planning of the Army. It works out the basics for all future capabilities required in the army, further develops the existing ones and brings them together to create a modern, future-oriented system of the army. It works closely with the Bundeswehr Planning Office , the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr and the commandos of the military organizational areas .

The chief of office with the rank of major general takes over the management of the office, his deputy with the rank of brigadier general is also chief of staff . The administration is supported by the staff. The office is divided into five departments:

history

The Army Development Office was reorganized as part of the realignment of the Bundeswehr on June 27, 2013 in the Konrad-Adenauer-Kaserne in Cologne. De facto it went from the Army Office , most of whose tasks it took over, while another part went to the new training command in Leipzig . In addition, the Office for Army Development took on the tasks of developing the army's training facilities and a large part of their personnel.
