Stefan Linus Fix (born December 26, 1962 ) is a major general in the Army of the German Armed Forces and has been Chief of Staff at the Armed Forces Command in Bonn since March 1, 2018 .

Military career

Training and first uses

Fix joined the Bundeswehr in 1982 as a basic military service provider in Sigmaringen and completed his training as a reserve officer by 1984 . From 1984 to 1986 he graduated from the Army Officer School I in Hannover and the army air defense school in Rendsburg the officer training the army air defense troops . From 1986 to 1990 he was employed as a platoon leader and security officer in the Air Defense Regiment 10 in Sigmaringen. Service as a general

From 2013 to 2018 Fix was Head of Department Planning II in the Federal Ministry of Defense , based in Bonn. Associated with this was the appointment as brigadier general . He handed over this post to Brigadier General Ralf Lungershausen on April 1, 2019 . Fix became the successor of Major General Jürgen Setzer as Chief of Staff in the Armed Forces Command in March 2019 .
