Sanna-Leena Perunka (born September 23, 1976 in Rovaniemi ) is a former Finnish biathlete .

Sanna-Leena Perunka has been practicing biathlon since 1988. She made her debut in 1995 in a sprint race in Lahti in which she was 23rd in the Biathlon World Cup . In 1996 she took part in the biathlon world championships for the first time in Ruhpolding . She had her best result in the relay (with Mari Lampinen , Eija Salonen and Annukka Mallat ) in eighth place and in the team (with Katja Holanti , Lampinen and Tiina Mikkola ) in sixth. In Pokljuka , Perunka won the bronze medal in the last team competition held. Also in Pokljuka in 1999, she came in ninth in a pursuit race for the first time in the top 10 ranks of the World Cup. In the next few seasons, the Finn collected World Cup points in all seasons. In 2002 it started for the only time at the Winter Olympics . In the sprint (24th) and in the pursuit (20th) she achieved good placements in Salt Lake City . In the following season she ran in Östersund after a twelfth place in the sprint to third place in the pursuit and thus to her best World Cup result. In the end, she came in 15th place overall for the season. Perunka also contested her best world championships in 2003. In Khanty-Mansiysk , she was eighth in the sprint, twelfth in the individual and tenth in the mass start.

Perunka has been accompanying the broadcasts of biathlon competitions as an expert on the Finnish television YLE since 2014 .
