Tiina Mikkola (born March 28, 1972 in Kotka ) is a former Finnish biathlete .

Tiina Mikkola lives in Kotka and started biathlon in 1980. She made her debut in the Biathlon World Cup at the start of the 1996/97 season in Lillehammer , where she was 74th of a sprint. The high point of the season was the 1997 Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie . The Finn finished 27th in the sprint, 34th in the pursuit, with Katja Holanti , Mari Lampinen and Annukka Mallat tenth in the relay race and sixth in the team race with Holanti, Lampinen and Sanna-Leena Perunka . In Antholz she was able to win points for the first time in an individual as 20th in the following season . It was also Mikkola's best result in the World Cup. At the 1998 Biathlon World Championships in Pokljuka she was 40th in pursuit and won the bronze medal with Katja Holanti, Mari Lampinen and Sanna-Leena Perunka in the team race behind the Russians and the Norwegians. At the Finnish Championships in 1998 Mikkola was runner-up in individual, sprint, pursuit and relay, with the team she won the bronze medal. The Finnish woman competed in the last races of the World Cup at the first stations of the 1998/99 World Cup .
