Sansevieria forskaoliana is a species of the genus Sansevieria in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). Thespecific epithet honors the Finnish botanist Peter Forsskål , who especially traveled to the Arab countries.

description

Sansevieria forskaoliana grows without a trunk as a perennial , succulent plant with at least two centimeters thick rhizomes . The upright lanceolate foliage leaves are tapering from the center in a rutty stalk. The simple leaf blade is at least 60 inches long and 6.5 to 7.5 inches wide. A fifth to a third of the width is always narrowed. The tip of the spreader is very hardened, brown and at least 2 millimeters long. The leaves are green. The spreading edge is wavy, hard and colored reddish brown. The leaf surface is rough, the underside is finely wrinkled across.

The single- eared inflorescences are at least 95 centimeters long. The panicles are occupied with four to five flowers per tuft. The flower stalk is up to 10 millimeters in size. The bracts are white.

distribution

Sansevieria forskaoliana is widespread in Yemen , Sudan , Djibouti , Eritrea , Ethiopia , Somalia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo on dry, rocky slopes and river beds, mostly in the shade between 550 and 2000 meters altitude.
