Santo Marcianò (born April 10, 1960 in Reggio Calabria ) is military archbishop of Italy .

Life

Santo Marcianò was ordained deacon on October 24, 1987, and ordained a priest on April 9, 1988 for the Archdiocese of Reggio Calabria-Bova .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on May 6, 2006 Archbishop of Rossano-Cariati . The Archbishop of Reggio Calabria-Bova , Vittorio Luigi Mondello , consecrated him Bishop on June 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Salvatore Nunnari , Archbishop of Cosenza-Bisignano , and Andrea Cassone , Senior Archbishop of Rossano-Cariati. As a motto he chose Magnificat anima mea Dominum . The inauguration in the archbishopric took place the next day.

On October 10, 2013, Pope Francis appointed him military archbishop for Italy.
