The Sanya E-Prix is an automobile race of the FIA Formula E Championship in Sanya , People's Republic of China . It was held for the first time on March 23, 2019 as part of the FIA Formula E Championship 2018/19 .
history
The first Sanya E-Prix took place on the Sanya Formula E circuit . Jean-Éric Vergne won the race ahead of Oliver Rowland and António Félix da Costa .
On February 2, 2020, the organizers of the FIA Formula E Championship announced that the second edition of the race, planned for March 21, 2020, would be canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic . However, it was kept open to postpone the race to an unspecified date.
