The Punta del Este E-Prix is an automobile race of the FIA Formula E Championship in Punta del Este , Uruguay . It was held for the first time in 2014 . The Punta del Este ePrix 2014 was the third Formula E race.
history
For the Punta del Este E-Prix, a temporary circuit was created on public roads on the Atlantic coast (Playa Brava).
Sébastien Buemi won the first race ahead of Nelson Piquet jr. and Lucas di Grassi . Buemi also won the second edition, this time ahead of di Grassi and Jérôme D'Ambrosio .
The third edition, which was held at short notice as a replacement for a race in São Paulo , was won by Jean-Éric Vergne ahead of di Grassi and Sam Bird .
