The Hong Kong E-Prix is an automobile race of the FIA Formula E Championship in Hong Kong . It was held for the first time on October 9, 2016 as part of the FIA Formula E Championship 2016/17 .

A temporary circuit on public roads was selected for the Hong Kong E-Prix .
Sébastien Buemi won the first ePrix ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Nick Heidfeld .
Two races were held as part of the second Hong Kong E-Prix . The first race was won by Sam Bird in front of Jean-Éric Vergne and Heifeld, the second race by Felix Rosenqvist in front of Edoardo Mortara and Mitch Evans .
Mortara won the third Hong Kong E-Prix ahead of di Grassi and Robin Frijns after Bird, who crossed the finish line first, was subsequently given a five-second time penalty.
