Sara Granroth (born May 16, 1976 ) is a former American biathlete .

Sara Granroth is a national guard with the Michigan National Guard , for which she also started. She started in 2001 at the Military World Ski Championships in Jericho . In the sprint race, she finished 35th. 2003 in Rovaniemi a 23rd place in the 10-kilometer freestyle in cross-country skiing was added. In 2004 and 2005 she was part of the elite squad of the US national team. She made her debut in Brusson in the European Cup and in the first sprint with seventh place not only reached the points but also the top ten. A little later she just missed the podium in a relay race in Méribel alongside Lanny Barnes , Denise Teela and Tracy Barnes in fourth place. In 2005 Granroth achieved her best result in the racing series as fifth in a sprint in Gurnigel . She previously took part in the 2004 Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , where she was 76th of the individual, 66th of the sprint and 14th in the relay race with Rachel Steer , Jill Krause and Denise Teela. A little later followed in Lake Placid, the debut in the World Cup , in which the American was 45th in a sprint race. It was also her best placement in the World Cup. At the 2004 Military World Ski Championships in Östersund , he was 17th in the sprint and sixth in the military patrol race with Sarah Kamilewicz Riley , Jill Krause and Denise Teela.
