Sasha Roiz (born October 21, 1973 in Tel Aviv , Israel ) is an Israeli - Canadian actor .
Life and roles
After his childhood in Israel, his family immigrated to Montreal in 1980 . Roiz studied history before attending drama school in Montreal and learning to be an actor. He played the role of Sam Adama in the US television series Caprica . From 2011 to 2017 he played the role of Captain Sean Renard in the series Grimm .
