Saskia Hippe (born January 16, 1991 in Berlin ) is a German national volleyball player .

Career

Saskia Hippe started her career at the age of nine in her hometown at Köpenicker SC . In 2008 she moved to Dresdner SC , where she won the DVV Cup in 2010 . Her greatest international success to date at club level was also achieved in 2010 when she won the Challenge Cup .

In 2011 Saskia Hippe moved to the first Italian league to the newly promoted Chieri Volley Club and in 2012 to the Czech Republic to VK Prostějov , where she became Czech champion and cup winner in 2013. She then returned to Germany and switched to the reigning German champions and cup winners Schweriner SC .

In the 2007/08 season, the attacker made her debut in the senior national team under national coach Giovanni Guidetti . Here she finished seventh at the 2010 World Cup , became vice European champion in 2011 and was winner of the Europa League in 2013 and again vice European champion .

On November 2, 2013, Saskia Hippe suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in the point game at Köpenicker SC and was out for the rest of the 2013/14 season.

In 2015, Hippe moved to league rivals SC Potsdam and in 2016 to Greek champions Olympiacos Piraeus , with whom she won the national cup and championship in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In addition, there is the win of the Challenge Cup 2018 .

Private

Saskia Hippes younger sister Laura also plays volleyball.
