Satisfaction is an American drama series that premiered on USA Network on July 17, 2014 . A German-language first broadcast is planned from July 23, 2016 on WDR in double episodes.

The married couple Neil and Grace Truman have everything a couple in the US dreams of: According to Neil, "a wonderful family, a beautiful woman and an 80-inch television". Nevertheless, after years of marriage, dissatisfaction spreads between them. Neil finds out that his wife is dating a male escort . After getting the escort's phone, Neil reveals not only a new perspective on his wife's life, but on women in general. Neil and Grace are constantly trying to find out whether they can and want to continue the marriage or not.

Neil Truman lives the "American Dream". Everything seems perfect, but he feels drained. When, after waiting for hours in a parked plane, he opens the escape slide, he has had enough of his job and quits. He drives to a house that his broker wife, Grace, shows to customers. Once there, he sees Grace having sex with Simon, an escort. Shortly afterwards there is a tussle between Neil and Simon, in which Neil ends up in a puddle. Simon gives him his jacket so that he can dry off and Neil keeps it. Neil later finds Simon's mobile phone in his jacket and is called by Simon's customers. Neil attends the meetings and after recovering from the shock of Grace's adultery, he learns that his neglected wife wants more affection and attention. When the family reunites, Simon's phone rings, which Neil still has: It's Grace.

Neil meets the Zen master he is hoping for help. He picks up Simon's phone and sends Grace a text message. Meanwhile, Simon is feeling financial losses, triggered by the loss of his phone, on which his customers' contacts are. When Neil is supposed to take care of the new customer Charles, he refers to Neil's wife Adriana, who is one of the women Neil aka Simon met. Simon steals Neil's car and threatens to publish his escort experiences if he doesn't get his phone back. Adriana is present during a conversation with Charles. Neil clarifies the situation with candor and wins Charles' trust. When Grace meets Simon, she wants to settle the outstanding amount. He tries to persuade her to do more, but Grace leaves. When Anika goes shopping with friends, she sees Simon in her father's car.

Neil confronts Simon about meeting his daughter. He threatens to intervene in his life if he does not withdraw the tax office from him. Neil offers Simon peace when he tells him about Grace's emotional world. In the meantime, Neil meets Charles' wife, who demands secrecy from him. But Neil wants to be honest with Charles and with himself. Neil receives an invitation from Adriana to a masked party. Grace encounters resistance in her job. During a discussion with her colleague, she meets Simon. Anika finds it difficult to deal with her popularity. Grace's sister helps Anika gain more confidence.

Neil is charged by the FBI with his behavior on the plane. At the advice of his lawyer, he and his family should show himself more in public and show the real self. Anika has an accident with Stephanie's car. Stephanie pretends to be Anika's mother in the hospital. Grace buys new clothes for her new "me". Neil wants to apologize to the stewardess, but she wants to sue him. Adriana sends Neil another invitation. When Neil shows up for the appointment, he realizes that he is the "surprise appointment". Grace learns of Anika's accident and confronts her sister. She realizes that she wasn't there for her daughter when she was needed. Neil meets his Zen master and again asks for advice. When Neil appears for the court hearing, he gives a speech against his conscience, but he is protecting his family. Grace apologizes to her daughter. Shortly afterwards she appears in Simon's apartment.

Grace is getting more and more successful with her work. Meanwhile, hackers break into Neil's company. When Neil's computer is checked, a ticket with Simon's address is revealed. Neil tells the Zen master about Grace's fling, who points him out on his own on the same day. Neil and Grace take dance classes to get closer again. Anika is on her way to her first paid gig. Neil wants to create an app that lets people find happiness. Adriana wants to entrust Grace with the decoration of her house.

Anika is motivated by her new boyfriend to write a song in the course of which they get closer. Grace and her sister Stephanie both want to attend a photo shoot. When they get to the appointment, they find that all the models are posing naked. Adriana pays Grace a visit to her house while Neil meets his date, but the date ends in a misunderstanding. He then puts Adriana for a conversation.

Production and broadcast

The first season consists of ten episodes. The series was produced by Universal Cable Productions . On October 2, 2014, the series was extended by a ten-part second season. On February 26, 2016, it was announced that the series will be discontinued after two seasons.

The location of the series was the city of Atlanta .
