The Schönebeck is a right tributary of the Wupper in the Barmen district of the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Wuppertal .
Location and topography
The Schönebeck rises at 240 meters above sea level. NN at the junction Barmen of the federal highway 46 in the residential area Hatzfeld . After a few meters, the stream disappears in a dole and does not come to the surface until its mouth. Its artificial course leads the brook below the streets Schönebecker Straße , Rudolfstraße and Loher Straße in a south-westerly direction down the valley. The brook is the only tributary that receives an inflow from the Old Schönebecker Bach.
It crosses the east of the station Wuppertal-Loh , the disused railway lines Loh-Hatzfeld and the Wuppertal Northern Railway and reaches the lower Barmer residential district Loh after about 1.8 kilometers to 151 meters above sea level. NN the Wupper .
