Schagges is a locality and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Unserfrau-Altweitra in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 49 building areas with 21,963 m² and 20 gardens on 21,127 m² in the cadastral community of Schagges and also in 1989/1990 there were 49 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 176 and in 2009/2010 there were 102 buildings on 178 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 243 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 238 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 218 hectares and 256 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 214 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 255 hectares. The average soil climate number of Schagges is 18.2 (as of 2010).
