The Schaplowsee is a lake in the Oder-Spree district in the city of Storkow . It belongs to the Dahme-Heideseen nature park , is part of the Groß Schauener chain of lakes and is part of Sielmann's Groß Schauener Seen natural landscape .
geography
The Schaplowsee forms the northernmost point of the chain of lakes. In the west there is a transition to the Großer Schauener See . The place Storkow is in the northeast of the lake, from there the Schaplowsee can be reached via the county road 6745. The Küchensee , to which there is a connection, is also to the east of the lake .
tourism
As part of the Groß Schauener chain of lakes and the nature reserve of the same name, the surrounding area of the Schaplowsee is ideal for hiking and cycling tours. In the north of the lake, the Schaplower Weg to the Groß Schauen district can be used.
From Storkow Castle , the 8.5-kilometer Salzweg leads past Philadelphia and Groß Schauen to the Groß Schauener chain of lakes. One of the four information points on this hike, which is intended to provide insights into the subject of salt marshes , is located in the north-west of the lake on the Marstallwiesen . The meadows with their inland salt point are included in the Groß Schauener Seenkette nature reserve .
