The Scheuch Group is an Austrian family company based in Aurolzmünster in the Innviertel in Upper Austria .

The group of companies is active worldwide in the fields of ventilation and environmental technology for the wood , wood-based , stone-earth , metal and energy industries and is market and technology leader in Europe in several sectors .

history

The company was founded by Alois Scheuch (* 1934) on January 5th, 1963 in Ried im Innkreis, after he had taken over his father's plumbing shop with six employees. The first products were dedusting systems for carpenters. At that time Scheuch mainly supplied companies in the wood and chipboard industries.

The further development of the technology through new products such as bag filters , the first energy-saving suction systems or electrostatic filters led to the construction of the production hall in Aurolzmünster in 1994. When Alois Scheuch left the operative business at the end of the 1990s, Herbert Kendler joined the company and took over management in 2004. In 2008 the management was expanded to include son Stefan Scheuch. The 2000s were marked by new developments u. a. the emc, deconox and xmercury technology for the cement industry , the IMPULS flat bag filter and the ERCS system for flue gas cleaning .

In September 2013, the company announced the generation change , strengthened the family ownership position and announced the appointment of Jörg Jeliniewski as commercial director and the departure of Herbert Kendler. The sole managing director of Scheuch Holding AG was Stefan Scheuch, who is responsible for technical management in the operational company.

In February 2016, the company announced the acquisition of the US company CAMCORP, the market leader in the US market. At the end of 2016, the Scheuch Group bought another family company in the USA: Schust Engineering.

Locations and activities

In 2004, in addition to Aurolzmünster, a production facility was opened in Prievidza , Slovakia, as a second plant. The company also has offices in Germany , Italy , France , Sweden , Russia , Thailand , Canada and the United States .

The activities are customer-oriented in the wood industry, wood-based materials industry, metal industry, stone-earth industry, energy industry and the equipment business. Sales, production and installation commissioning service are offered from a single source.

Commercial space

At the company's headquarters, the 630 people employed there have production areas of 18,000 square meters, storage areas of 4,800 square meters and office space of 7,400 square meters. All core components such as filter heads, filters, fans , locks , cyclones and flaps are manufactured there. The steel construction and the production of pipe and molded parts, platforms and ladders take place in Slovakia on a production area of ​​6,200 square meters. The degree of in-house production is 90 percent. 80 percent of the production is exported.
