Geographical location
The desert Schladerlmühle was about a kilometer east of Treffelstein south of the state road 2154 at the confluence of the Braunmühlbach in the Biberbach.
history
In 1837 the Schladerlmühle was listed in the diocesan register with one house and 6 residents. She came on October 1, 1840 from the district court district Neunburg vorm Wald to the royal district court Waldmünchen . In 1863 the Schladerlmühle was listed in the diocesan register with one house and 6 residents as belonging to Treffelstein.
On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Schladerlmühle was listed as part of the Treffelstein branch with a house and 7 residents.
In 1945, shortly before the American invasion, a roadblock made of tree trunks was erected on the bridge near Schladerlmühle to prevent the American advance. Although the removal of this facility was punishable by death, the residents of Edlmühl and Schladerlmühle repeatedly dismantled this barrier in order to enable Treffelstein to be handed over without a fight and to prevent the Americans from shelling the place. The two Volkssturm guards who were posted at the barrier hid in order to get along with the "official order to shoot". They too risked their lives, as the SS shot dead guards that were controlled and neglected.
On December 31, 1990, Schladerlmühle is described as uninhabited and dissolved in Treffelstein.
In the 1980s the Schladerlmühle was demolished. Today (2013) nothing reminds of the existence of this mill. The earlier road was moved a little higher away from the Braunmühlbach due to the risk of flooding. The new houses that were built on this street are counted as part of Edlmühl.
