Schlag is a village and part of the city of Grafenau in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau .

Schlag is located south of Grafenau and the federal highway 533 on both sides of the district road FRG 46 .

history

The municipality of Schlag was established with the Bavarian municipal edict of 1818. In 1946 part of the community of Liebersberg was incorporated with the places Liebersberg and Moosham . In 1950 the municipality of Bärnstein was incorporated into Schlag. On January 1, 1978, the rural community of Schlag with the towns of Schlag, Altbachhaus , Bärnstein , Dimpflmühle , Elsenthal , Frauenberg , Gehmannsberg , Grafenhütt , Hötzhof , Jägerreith , Klingmühle , Köpplhof , Liebersberg, Moosham , Oberhüttensölden , Schlageröd , Unterhüttensölden and Voitemeindau was incorporated into Grafenau . On May 25, 1987, the village had 254 apartments in 155 buildings with living space and 686 residents.
