Heinrichsreit is a village and part of the city of Grafenau in the Freyung-Grafenau district , Bavaria.

It is a good five kilometers south of Grafenau and almost two kilometers northeast of Haus im Wald on the gentle, southern bank slope of the Heinrichsreuther Graben .

history

Heinrichsreit is already mentioned in the land register and copial book of the Premonstratensian monastery in Osterhofen from 1440. The independent rural community Heinrichsreit, established with the Bavarian municipal edict of 1818, comprised an area of 516 hectares on October 1, 1964 and the five places Heinrichsreit, Bibereck , Hörmannsberg , Rentpoldenreuth and Scharrmühle . On April 1, 1971, it was incorporated into Haus i.Wald . On January 1, 1978, most of the community of Haus i.Wald zu Grafenau and with it the villages of Heinrichsreit and Hörmannsberg came. The places Bibereck, Rentenpoldenreuth and Scharrmühle came to the municipality of Perlesreut . On May 25, 1987, the village Heinrichsreit had 14 apartments in 12 buildings with living space and 48 residents.
