The Schneewinkelspitze is a 3016 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Ankogel group in Carinthia . It is located east of the municipality of Mallnitz . To the northeast of the Schneewinkelspitze is the Hochalmspitze , to the west of it the Säuleck . The Kölnbreinsperre is only a few kilometers away from it.
An ascent is possible from the upper Thomanbaueralm ( 1630 m ). A marked path leads over alpine pastures to the Giessener Hut . From there over moderately steep terrain to the Detmold ridge , which leads to the summit . A summit cross has not Schneewinkel tip, but a summit stone summit book .
The first ascent took place in 1898 by Franz Hörtnagl and H. Margreiter on the occasion of the first ascent of the Detmold ridge.
