Schröttinghausen village school. Use as a fire brigade museum

Schröttinghausen is the most northerly and westerly district of Preußisch Oldendorf in North Rhine-Westphalia in the Minden-Lübbecke district .

The small village is on the border with Lower Saxony . Highway 767 runs through the village .

The village school was built in 1862. The famous astronomer and astrophysicist Walter Baade started school here in 1899. A fire brigade museum was set up in the former school , which is under monument protection .

In 1894 the place came to the district of Lübbecke , on January 1, 1973 by the Bielefeld law to the city of Preußisch Oldendorf.
