Schrattenbruck is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Melk in the Melk district in Lower Austria .

history

The place has always belonged to the catchment area of the monastery and the Melk market, although the southern Schallaburg also had a great influence. In the Middle Ages, family members of the Sighartingers and their subsidiary lines appear again and again as ministerials and acting persons, although the place is influenced by several rulers.

The border between the district courts of Melk and Schallaburg ran along the stream and thus right through the town.
