The Spreitenbach school is located in Spreitenbach in the canton of Aargau and consists of three educational programs: kindergarten , primary school and upper level . These are in different locations: two primary school locations (Hasel & Seefeld) and the center school complex with the upper level. Around 1,600 children and young people are taught by 240 teachers in Spreitenbach. Several people are represented in the school management at the respective locations.

History and architecture

The Seefeld primary school complex was built in 1999 and its counterpart, the Hasel school building, was built in 1975. Between 2014 and 2016, the Hasel school complex was rebuilt and expanded by the architect Hertig Noetzli at a cost of up to CHF 27 million . The number was increased from 12 classrooms to 23 classrooms. The reason for the enlargement and renovation of the school building was the growing population in Spreitenbach. The Seefeld sports complex was also equipped with a triple gymnasium in 1999 and has been used for larger sports events ever since. The upper level center consists of eight buildings. The school types are mixed in the system. The Boostock school building was built in 1956 and renovated in 1999. the facility includes a double gym, which is also made up of a large stage and utility rooms. These facilities are the reason why the community meetings of the community Spreitenbach often take place there. In addition to the Boostock schoolhouse, the Haufländli schoolhouse (built in 1970) also has a double gym, which was built in 1971. The Rebenägertli schoolhouse was built six years earlier, in 1965. The biology rooms are located in this building. The central tract of the campus-like structure of this upper school facility forms the center school building. It was built in 1970 and includes a large auditorium where music lessons can take place.

The school management of the school complex center (upper level) consists of two headmasters who concentrate on different educational programs. Roger Stiel takes over the management of the district school and secondary school . The further education of the students, quality management and school development are also in his area of ​​responsibility. Hannes Schwarz, on the other hand, mainly takes care of secondary school , but he also has other tasks such as infrastructure , school administration, timetable planning, room planning, school trips and camps. Bettina Stade is the headmistress of the Hasel school (primary school). Her tasks include, among other things, managing finances , therapy and quality management. The school management center / center (primary school and kindergarten) will be taken over by Andrea Boller. She takes care of public work. Ahmet Dag is responsible for the management of the Seefeld school (primary school) and for swimming lessons.

School maintenance

The school administration consists of five members, each of whom leads a different work department. Doris Schmid is the president of the school administration. Your tasks are in the area of coordination and personnel management. She works in all school locations and has an overview of everything. Vice-president is Claudia Salomon, she takes care of public relations . In addition to the president and her deputy, three other people work in school maintenance.

School social work

The school's social work is part of the youth welfare of the community of Spreitenbach. She has an advice center at all school locations so that you can go to her directly with a problem. This is considered a neutral point of contact for children, young people, parents and teachers. Here people with problems can ask for advice and discussions. Projects

The upper level of the Spreitenbach school has been participating in the national lift project for young people since August 2017 . It is a successful integration and prevention program with which young people from the 7th grade onwards get fit for the professional world . The purpose of this project is to give socially disadvantaged young people a chance on the job market and to encourage them accordingly. The focus of this project is on regular short-term assignments, so-called “weekly work assignments” in businesses in the respective region . In addition to this youth project, the Spreitenbach school is also committed to the Third World . Every year there is a march for a fairer world. This is a 10–15 km long route that around 600 pupils and teachers cover together. In the sponsored run in 2018, the children collected around 13,000 francs. The money will benefit two projects in South America .

What sets the school apart

The Spreitenbach school tries to teach the children and young people self-responsibility right from the start by offering many projects that span different levels. The students have a say and have a say in many areas. They also have no tolerance for incidents of violence. The upper school classes are all mixed up on a large school area. For quality assurance, the teachers in the schools work together in groups, they give each other feedback on the lessons and plan the lessons together.
