Scott Jacoby

Scott Jacoby (born November 26, 1956 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor.

He began his career at the age of eleven, starring alongside Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé on the Broadway musical Golden Rainbow from February 1968 to January 1969 . In April 1968 he was nominated for a Tony Award . In April 1970 he took part in the musical Cry For Us All . From 1969 onwards, Jacoby also appeared in films and television productions, including in 1971 in The Anderson Clan . In 1972, he received a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in the television movie Back That Summer, starring alongside Hal Holbrook and Martin Sheen . A year later he was again awarded an Emmy for the title role in the feature film Baxter and the Raven Mother (starring Patricia Neal , Jean-Pierre Cassel and Britt Ekland , directed by Lionel Jeffries ).

Scott Jacoby reached the peak of his career in 1976 with the portrayal of the youngster "Mario" in the internationally successful thriller The Girl at the End of the Street . Later engagements included roles in High School Dreams (1978, directed by Joseph Ruben ) and The Diary of Anne Frank (1980, directed by Boris Sagal ). Here he was seen alongside Melissa Gilbert (as Anne Frank ) and Maximilian Schell (as Otto Frank ) in the role of Peter van Pels . In 1986 and 1987, respectively, he appeared in the horror films Rebels des Horror and Return to Horror High . From 1986 to 1989 he had a recurring supporting role as the son of the series character "Dorothy Zbornak" in Golden Girls . After 1991 Jacoby no longer appeared as an actor, but occasionally as a director and screenwriter.

Jacoby's half-brothers (from a later marriage of his mother) Billy Jayne (* 1969) and Robert Jayne (* 1973) are also actors. His half-sister Laura Jayne (* 1974) played children and youth roles in television productions from 1979 to 1991 under the name Laura Jacoby . Scott Jacoby has been married since 1985 and has two children with his wife.
