Seachd: The Inaccessible Pinnacle (Scottish Gaelic pronunciation: [ʃaxk]), - Seven: The inaccessible tip - is an episodic feature film in the Scottish Gaelic language shot in 2007 and at the same time the debut work of director Simon Miller. The script was written by Simon Miller in collaboration with Joanne Cockwell. The main roles are Patrick Morrison / Pàdruig Moireasdan and the Gaelic writer and poet Angus Peter Campbell / Aonghas Pàdraig Caimbeul. The film consists of "seven" episodes that are loosely connected to each other.
Filming began in April 2006 on the Inaccessible Pinnacle (German: inaccessible tip ) at Sgùrr Dearg (German: red peak ) in the Cuillin Hills on the Isle of Skye in Scotland and was completed in August 2006. The film was shown at the Celtic Media Festival in March 2007 and had its world premiere at the 61st Edinburgh International Film Festival in August 2007. Seachd is the only 88 minute feature film that was shot entirely in Scottish Gaelic. There are subtitles in Scottish Gaelic, Irish, Welsh and English .

Plot structure
Two frame stories interrupt the grandfather's stories again and again. In keeping with the first and second frame story, the grandfather's stories complement what happened during Angus' childhood. The Gaelic name of the film "Seachd" - "Seven" refers to the seven different stories that span different epochs and time levels. The stories take up the theme of death and loss as a leitmotif in different ways: death of parents, death of grandmother, death of grandfather, death of loved ones, death and rejection of the Gaelic language and culture, death and expulsion ( highland clearances ) by the mighty , Loss of riches, death by mythical beings.
