Career

Career start in Michigan

After Harris was active on the soccer team at Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion and also played at the Vardar-Michigan Soccer Club , a local training club in the state of Michigan, he was accepted by Oakland University in 2006. In high school and at the youth club still as a midfielder , Harris was converted into a striker in the men's soccer team at the university, the Oakland Golden Grizzlies . Due to his talent - he was a four-time letterman , team captain as a senior , as well as a senior in the All-State Second Team and in the All-Region Team - at Oakland University. In his freshman year at the university, Harris was only used in eight championship games, in which he scored one goal and prepared another for his teammates. In the following game year 2007 he was chosen because of his performance in the All Summit League Second Team , as he scored six goals in 18 games and made two assists. In 2008 he also demonstrated his skills as an attacking midfielder. He played in all of the 19 championship games in which he was used from the start, scored five goals and gave six assists. With the number of assists he led his team and was second in the Summit League at the same time.

Time at Michigan Bucks

While he was still at university, Harris was playing in the free time with the Michigan Bucks , a team from the fourth-rate USL Premier Development League (PDL). He was used in 14 championship games, scored one goal and made two assists for his teammates. With 30 shots he was one of the most attacking players on the team. Harris made his debut for the Bucks on May 16, 2009 in the game against Kalamazoo Outrage . At the home game in the complex of the Ultimate Soccer Arenas , the offensive player played from the start and scored the goal for his team to lead his team 1-0 in the tenth minute after submission by Mauro Fuzetti. The game ended in a 1-1 draw after a goal by Tom Oatley.

Move to England

After a trial session, Harris signed on August 3, 2009 a half-year contract with the English fourth division club Northampton Town . The main reason for his commitment were his two goals, which he scored in a friendly match. The then 22-year-old made his professional debut on November 21, 2009, when he was substituted on for the player of the evening Adebayo Akinfenwa in the 85th minute in the 2-2 home draw against Crewe Alexandra . Harris scored his first competitive goal for Northampton Town on his fourth league appearance when he met on February 27, 2010 in the 85th minute of the home win over Cheltenham Town in the 85th minute of the 2-1 winning goal, after he himself only in the 64th minute for Akinfenwa the playing field came. After nine league appearances and one goal, Harris ended the 2009/10 season with the team in eleventh place in the table.

In the 2010/11 season , the 1.91 m tall striker has played in four league games to date (as of November 2, 2010), in which he remained goalless. Previously, in May 2010, he extended his expiring contract for a further year until 2011. Before the start of the season, Harris was retrained as a central defender by coach Ian Sampson and has since made sporadic short appearances as such. On October 29, 2010 Harris' loan transfer for one month to the Stafford Rangers in the sixth grade Conference North was announced. After a month, the contract was finally extended to the beginning of January 2011. On February 11, 2011 another month-long move was announced Harris' to Nuneaton Town , which also have their game operations in Conference North. There the American completed five championship games, scored one goal and then returned to his home club Northampton Town, where he was then used again sporadically in league games.
