Sebastián Taborda , full name Sebastián Taborda Ramos , (born May 22, 1981 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player.

Career

societies

He made his professional debut in 1999. The Montevideo-born Taborda began his club career with Defensor Sporting in his home country, where he scored 33 goals during his entire club membership. Next station was Centro Atlético Fénix , for which he was able to score 15 goals. After returning to Defensor in the meantime, his path then led him to Mexico . In the Apertura 2003 he completed there 13 games (three goals) in the Primera División for UNAM Pumas . In the Apertura 2004 he was included in the squad of the Chilean subscription champions Club Deportivo Universidad Católica . Here he scored four goals in eleven games. Also in the Apertura 2004 and 2005 he was again in the Defensors ranks, where he played 15 games in the 2005 midseason (nine goals). For the 2005/06 season he went to Europe and joined the Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna , where he remained until the 2008/09 season, in which it is within Spain for Hércules CF changed. In Apertura 2009 (seven games, one goal) and Clausura 2010 (6/0) Defensor was again his employer, where he also played four games in the Liguilla Pre Libertadores 2009 . In the Apertura 2010 (10 games, no goal) he was then in the squad of the Argentine club Newell's Old Boys , where he is led until the Apertura 2011, but did not score a goal. He also took an active part in two Copa Sudamericana matches there. The next stop was River Plate Montevideo in the 2011/12 season . His goal account counted a dozen successes in 23 missions. For the 2012/13 season, Taborda Nacional Montevideo, and thus the ninth club in the course of his career, after he had recently canceled his contract with River Plate Montevideo. He signed a three-year contract with the Bolsos . There he completed twelve league games (one goal) in the Apertura 2012, in which he was only twice on the starting line-up. In the second half of the season he then ran seven times for Defensor, scored a goal and was runner-up with the team. For the 2013/14 season, his move to River Plate Montevideo was announced. He made his league debut with the Darseneros on August 17, 2013 in a 4-2 win at the season opener against Peñarol. In the 2013/14 season he played 19 league games in which he scored eight goals. He also played in four games of the 2013 Copa Sudamericana and scored two goals. At Apertura 2014 he moved within the league to Nacional Montevideo. In the 2014/15 season, which his club concluded by winning the national championship, he was used there seven times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league and once (no goal) in the 2015 Copa Libertadores . After the season he left the club and has been without a club ever since.

National team

In the Uruguayan senior team , the son Martín Tabordas made his debut at the Carlsberg Cup in the game on February 4, 2003 against the Iranian selection, when he came on for Marcelo Sosa after 69 minutes.

For the U-23 selection of Uruguay, he played on January 3, 2004 a game against the Florida selection, trained by Gerardo Mikeiro . With the encounters on January 11, 2004 against Brazil and against Paraguay on January 15, 2004, he completed at least two more international games for the Olympic selection coached by Juan Ramón Carrasco . He didn't score a goal.
