Sebastian Eisenlauer (born March 13, 1990 in Sonthofen ) is a German cross-country skier .

Sebastian Eisenlauer is a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr and starts for SC 1909 Sonthofen . In 2005 he competed in his first international junior races , in 2006 his first FIS races and in 2007 the first races in the Alpine Cup . In Jaca he won the gold medal in the 7.5-kilometer classic at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2007 . After participating in the Junior World Championships in 2009 and 2010 with good results, he won the runner -up title at the German Championships over 10-kilometer classic behind Benjamin Seifert . In December 2010, he made his first appearance in a cross-country world cup race in Düsseldorf , where he was eliminated in qualifying as 47th. A few days later, Eisenlauer won his first race in the Alpine Cup with a mass start race in Alta Badia . January 2011 brought the first World Cup result in the points with a 15th place in the freestyle sprint in Liberec . He also finished eighth in the team sprint with Josef Wenzl . Two years later he improved his best performance in the sprint in the same place to 13th place, in the team sprint a sixth place in Nové Město na Moravě in January 2014 was again the best result so far alongside Josef Wenzl. In 2012, Eisenlauer was German runner-up in the sprint behind Hannes Dotzler in Oberwiesenthal . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 he missed the finals of the best 30 in the classic sprint as 43rd of the qualification. In March 2012 he won the German championship together with Hannes Dotzler in the team sprint. In 2013 he won the team sprint title again this time with Samson Schairer at the German Championships . In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , he reached 35th place in the sprint.
