Sebastian Wanke (born January 21, 1986 in Schwalmstadt ) is a German artist and communication designer .
Life
Sebastian Wanke grew up in Schwalmstadt. After graduating from high school performed at the University of Erfurt his community service . In 2008 he began studying visual communication at the Bauhaus University Weimar . During this time he was also teaching free art with Barbara Nemitz and Martin Mohr and took part in his first international group exhibition. In 2016 he graduated as a designer from Hermann Stamm and Jens Hauspurg .
Since then he has been working as a freelance artist and communication designer, working with the artists' collective "Artisan" and the studio and studio group "Studio Wägetechnik eV" in Weimar.

In 2015, Wanke installed a light installation on the summit of the Kofel mountain in collaboration with Sebastian Hertrich . The results were presented in 2016, among other things, in the exhibition Made in Oberammergau in the pavilion of the State College for Wood Sculpture in Oberammergau. A badge was specially designed for the Kofel X art campaign and awarded to participants and supporters by the two artists.
