Sebastianappan Singaroyan

Sebastianappan Singaroyan (born April 13, 1952 in Mel Kathadikuppam , Tamil Nadu ) is an Indian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Salem .

Life

Sebastianappan Singaroyan received on 27 May 1978, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 5, 2000, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Salem. The Archbishop of Pondicherry and Cuddalore , Michael Augustine , donated him episcopal ordination on October 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore , James Masilamony Arul Das , and the Bishop of Coimbatore , Ambrose Mathalaimuthu .

On March 9, 2020, Pope Francis accepted Sebastianappan Singaroyan's request for resignation.
