The Seeberg nature reserve is located in the Gotha district in Thuringia .

It extends southeast of the core city of Gotha and west of Seebergen , a district of the rural community Drei Gleichen . The state road L 1045 and the B 247 run to the west of the area . The B 7 runs north, while the L 1026 runs north, east and south.

The 28 hectare Siebleber Teich nature reserve extends to the north and the 118.3 ha nature reserve Apfelstädtaue between Wechmar and Wandersleben extends to the south-east .

The 366.1 hectare area with the NSG no. 379 was placed under nature conservation in 1941.
