The Seespitze , a mountain with a height of 3021 m above sea level. A. , is located in the Hohe Tauern in Austria and is the southernmost three-thousand meter of the Panargenkamm of the Venediger group . The summit is around 5.5 km as the crow flies northwest of St. Jakob in Defereggen . The marked normal ascent is relatively easy to climb in snow-free and dry conditions. When the weather is clear, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Venediger group, the Villgraten mountains and the Hochgall from the summit .
rise
On the continuously marked normal ascent from Trogach / Jagastüberl (approx. 1700 m above sea level , small parking lot), first through the forest, then over alpine pastures to the (currently not managed) Seespitzhütte ( 2327 m above sea level ) and on to the Oberseitsee ( 2576 m above sea level ). Immediately on the west side of the lake, increasingly steeper, sometimes crossing rock slopes, you reach the ridge that leads to the summit. On the back ( surefootedness required) in a northerly direction, passing a rock area secured with a chain, then steeply up a rock channel, you reach the summit structure and the highest point with a cross (walking time from Trogach around 4 to 4½ hours).
An alternative ascent option is via the high-altitude path Blumenweg upper side , which leads from Trojertal , via Reggnalm and Seespitzhütte to Erlsbach (approx. 1550 m above sea level ).
