Seifersbach was mentioned in 1353 as "Sifridispach". Around 1551 the place belonged to the manorial power of the Sachsenburg Castle on the Zschopau. In 1610 Seifersbach came with the Sachsenburg office through the sale of the Lords of Schönberg to the Saxon Elector Johann Georg I. In 1633 the offices of Frankenberg and Sachsenburg were combined to form the Frankenberg-Sachsenburg office . Seifersbach was run as an administrative village in 1764 . Today's Seifersbach Church was built between 1826 and 1828. Until 1856, Seifersbach was the northernmost place of the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Frankenberg-Sachsenburg. From 1856 Seifersbach belonged to the Mittweida court office and from 1875 to the Rochlitz administration .

With the second district reform in the GDR, the Seifersbach community became part of the Hainichen district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Hainichen in 1990 and in the district of Mittweida in 1994 and in the district in 2008 Central Saxony rose. With the amalgamation of the municipalities of Schönborn-Drei Werden and Seifersbach, the municipality of Schönborn-Drei Werden- Seifersbach was created on January 1, 1992, and was incorporated into Rossau on January 1, 1999 . The primary school of the community of Rossau is located in the Seifersbach district.
