Company history

The company is based on a workshop founded in 1928 with a Shell petrol station in Isny. A few years later, the owner Eugen Steinhilber started selling vehicles. The program included the brands Horch , DKW , Audi, Adler and Büssing . 20 years later, the dealership got a trading license for Volkswagen vehicles. In 1950 the branch in Kempten was opened. In the decades that followed, Walter Seitz took over other competitors and added other vehicle brands to its range.

The company's founder, Walter Seitz, died in 1978, and his son Jörg Seitz took over the business. In 2001 Auto Abt (Audi) merged with Seitz Kempten (Volkswagen). In 2004 this link (Seitz + Abt GmbH) was dissolved, and the entrepreneurs have been concentrating on the Seitz centers ever since.
