history

2012

Since 1985, the SCM team has organized races covering distances of 700, 1000, and 1300 miles, as well as 6- and 10-day races . In 1996, Sri Chinmoy founded the 2,700 mile (4,345 km) run. At the winners' event it was announced that a 3,100 mile run would be held the following year. It is intended to give runners the opportunity to go beyond their limits, which is where the name of this run comes from. Since then, the run has taken place annually over this distance.

Records

In 2006 Madhupran Wolfgang Schwerk ran the route in a time of 41: 08: 16: 29. He set 74 new world records within 1400 miles to 5000 km.
