Semyon Spiridonovich Ramishvili ( Russian Семён Спиридонович Рамишвили ; born August 18 . Jul / 31 August  1903 greg. Life

Ramishvili joined the Soviet naval fleet in 1922 and became a member of the CPSU in the same year . He graduated from the Naval War School in Batumi in 1923 and in Leningrad in 1925 . After serving on the gunboat Markin from 1925 to 1926 , he attended special artillery courses from 1926 to 1927 and then served as an artillery officer on the gunboat Red Azerbaijan . From 1931 to 1933 he was head of the operational department of the Caspian Flotilla and from 1933 to 1937 he graduated from the command faculty of the Naval War Academy . During the Spanish Civil War he advised the leadership of the Republican fleet in Cartagena from 1936 to 1939 . As a lecturer in the chair for operational art, he taught at the Naval War Academy from 1938 to 1939. After a short service as Chief of Staff of the Baltic Fleet from May to June 1939, as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Baltic Fleet from June to November 1939 and as Commander of the Kronstadt Naval War Base from November to December 1939, Ramishvili was a sea ​​captain during the Winter War (1939-1940) Department commander responsible for capturing the islands of Seskar and Peninsaari in the Gulf of Finland .

After serving as commander of the Naval War School MW Frunze , at the beginning of the German-Soviet War he was the commander of an officer student brigade , of which two battalions in the Kingissepp - Narva area were already involved in fighting in July 1941. Ramishvili, who was appointed rear admiral in May 1941, was head of the teaching facility administration of the naval fleet from August 1941 to March 1944. In 1945 he was chairman of the procurement commission on the west coast of the USA .

After the end of the Second World War , he dealt with the disarmament and demilitarization of Japan . From March 1951 to November 1961 he was commander of the Caspian Naval War School (KWWMKU) in Baku. He was retired in December 1961.
