Localization of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany

The transmitter Boppard-Fleckertshöhe is a transmitter for VHF radio in Boppard . The 100 meter high hybrid tower with a steel framework is located on the Fleckertshöhe . The steel tower operated by the Deutsche Funkturm is used as a transmitter and a radio relay system . It supplies the regions around Koblenz and Boppard as well as parts of the Hunsrück , Eifel and Taunus with VHF transmitters. The main antenna carrier of this system is of a very unique construction.

The transmission mast is the tallest structure in the Rhein-Hunsrück district . The 88.9 MHz frequency with Deutschlandradio Kultur has been in operation since July 28, 2003, the 90.5 MHz frequency with Deutschlandfunk since September 17, 2003. When the analogue TV channels were switched off in the course of the switch to DVB-T on 26 August 2008 the TV programs will only be broadcast via the Koblenz telecommunications tower .
