Kim Seol-hyun ( Korean : 김설현; born January 3, 1995 in Bucheon , South Korea ), better known as Seolhyun , is a South Korean singer , actress and member of the girl group AOA .

Life

In 2010 she won the 8th Smart Model Contest ( 스마트 모델 선발 대회 ), a competition in which ordinary schoolgirls wear school uniforms and the winners of which later often become celebrities. Numerous talent agencies are represented at the event and FNC Entertainment selected them.

In July 2012 Seolhyun made his debut as a member of FNC Entertainment's girl group AOA with the song Elvis from the EP Angels' Story . They are now one of the most popular girl groups in South Korea. Outside of the group, Seolhyun starred in TV series and films.

In 2013 she played a major role in the drama Ugly Alert as the youngest daughter of a family of five. 2015 she made her feature film debut in the gangster film Gangnam Blues alongside Lee Min-ho and Kim Rae-won . In the same year she also played the lead role in the Orange Marmalade series , which received a lot of attention even before it aired.

In 2017 she played the main female role in the film Sarinja-ui Gieok Beop ( 살인자 의 기억법 ).
