Josef "Sepp" Kleisl (born February 2, 1929 in Partenkirchen ; † September 25, 2008 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) was a German ski jumper .

Career

Kleisl started for the Partenkirchen Ski Club . He first took part in the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952 and was tenth on the normal hill there . After the first round, he was even in eighth place. Even four years later Kleisl was again in the Games, now in Cortina d'Ampezzo , start on the normal hill and reached the 26th place. In 1951 and 1952 he won the large hill title at the West German Championships. In the 1950s, Kleisl took part in various international competitions, the best result was a seventh place in 1954 in Bischofshofen . He was also a participant in the 1954 World Championships in Falun , where he fell while jumping on February 14th.
