The Serebrjanka , also Serebrjanaja ( Russian Серебря́нка / Серебряная , literally the silver ) is a 147 km long right tributary of the Tschussowaja in the European and Asian part of Russia .

River course

The Serebrjanka rises on the border between the Perm region and the Sverdlovsk Oblast in the central Urals . First it flows south along this border through the densely forested, sparsely populated mountainous landscape in the far west of the Sverdlovsk Oblast. After the confluence of the Klyctan , it turns to the southwest.

The river flows through Serebrjanka , the only larger town on the river. After the confluence of its largest tributary Shurysch , the Serebrjanka crosses the border with the Perm region, where it joins the Chusovaya after a few kilometers at Ust-Serebrjanka .

Hydrology and use

Serebryanka, fed mainly by snowmelt and rain, is not navigable. The river, which is 10-15 m wide on average, is popular with canoeists as a challenging mountain river during the ice-free period from April to November .
