Serge Spitzer

Serge Spitzer (born June 29, 1951 in Bucharest , † September 9, 2012 in New York City ) is a Romanian - Israeli installation artist who worked in Jerusalem , New York City and Berlin .

Serge Spitzer studied at the National University of the Arts in Bucharest from 1969 to 1972 and then from 1972 to 1974 at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem.

The la Concorde fountain has existed at the Platz der Menschenrechte in Graz since 1985 .

A well-known work in public space is the so-called Spitzer spiral on Kennedyplatz in Essen. On March 24, 1996, the work of art formed from a double T-beam was erected. It is five meters in diameter, eight meters high and weighs around 22 tons.
