Sergei Anatoljewitsch Turyschew ( Russian Сергей Анатольевич Турышев ; born June 23, 1985 in Kamen-Rybolow, Primorye region ) is a cross-country skier from Russia .
Turyschew has been participating in FIS competitions since 2004. He mainly starts in the cross-country skiing Eastern Europe Cup . He has won two wins so far and took first place in the overall standings in the 2013/14 season . At the Winter Universiade 2009 in Yabuli he won gold in the 15 km pursuit race and with the relay and silver in the 10 km freestyle. He had his first World Cup appearance at the Tour de Ski 2009/10 , which he finished in 26th place. At the subsequent World Cup race in Rybinsk he achieved a top ten placement in the World Cup for the first time with ninth place in the 30 km pursuit race. In March 2011 he became the Russian champion over 15 km. In April 2014 he won the Avacha Ski Marathon over 60 km freestyle in Petropavlovsk . In the 2014/15 season he took 22nd place at the Nordic Opening in Lillehammer and 25th place at the Tour de Ski 2015 . His best result so far in an individual World Cup race is eighth place in the Rybinsk skiathlon in January 2015. In March 2015 he won the Europe-Asia Ski Marathon in Yekaterinburg over 53 km freestyle and the Demino Ski Marathon over 50 km freestyle. After 12th place at the Nordic Opening in Ruka at the beginning of the 2015/16 season, he finished second in the Eastern Europe Cup in Minsk in January 2016 over 10 km classic. In the following month he came fifth in the 50 km mass start race at the World Cup in Oslo and seventh place over 10 km classic in Falun . At the end of the season he finished 22nd in the Ski Tour Canada and reached 25th place in the overall World Cup. In April 2016 he won the Avacha Ski Marathon over 60km freestyle.
