Sergei Leonidowitsch Korastylew ( Russian Сергей Леонидович Корастылев ; born May 8, 1989 in Kansk ) is a Russian biathlete .

Sergei Korastylew made his first international appearance at the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nové Město na Moravě . In the sprint race, he placed sixth with two penalties, and in the pursuit race based on the sprint he was fifth with two penalties. He was not nominated for the relay race, although he was second-best Russian behind Dmitri Yaroshenko in both races . The more experienced Anton Schipulin was used in his place in the gold relay . In 2012 he made his debut in Forni Avoltri in an individual in the IBU Cup and immediately won points as 19th. A little later, as fourth in a sprint in Haute-Maurienne, he just missed the podium. In 2014 he made it in Ridnaun and only had to admit defeat to Lars Helge Birkeland . He celebrated his first major success by winning the title at the 2015 Summer Biathlon World Championships as the final runner of the mixed relay together with Jekaterina Avakumova , Olga Kalina and Sergei Kljatschin , in sprint and pursuit he was 21st and seventh.

After failing to compete in IBU competitions in the winters between the 2013/14 European Championships and the 2018/19 season, he made his World Cup debut on February 7, 2019 in the individual competition in Canmore, which was shortened due to the severe cold, and took second prone position after two shooting errors 42. In the IBU Cup this winter, he had two wins in single mixed relays, the first in Ridnaun with Anastassija Morosowa and the second with Uljana Kaischewa in Lenzerheide . In the individual competitions he reached two fourth places in Otepää and also took this place in the overall ranking of the series.
