Sergiu Victor Homei (born July 6, 1987 in Năsăud , Bistrița-Năsăud County ) is a Romanian football player . The full-back has been under contract with FK Neftochimik in Bulgaria since summer 2016 .

Career

Homei started his career in 2005 at Liberty Salonta . In 2006 he moved to FC Sopron in Hungary , where he was tenth in the top Hungarian league with the club. At the beginning of the 2006/07 season he signed with Dinamo Bucharest . In his first season he came only to one use in the game against FC Argeş Piteşti on April 15, 2007, but could still be champions at the end of the season. The following year , the wing player was awarded to Politehnica Iași , which reached eleventh place in the final ranking of the championship. After the loan ended, he played again for Dinamo in 2008/09 . With ten appearances, he had a few games to book this time, Dinamo was able to achieve third place. Furthermore, Homei made his debut at the European club level. In the game of the 1st round of the UEFA Cup , he played through in the game against the Dutch representative NEC Nijmegen . The game in Nijmegen ended 0-1.

In the 2009/10 season he was loaned to Gloria Bistrița by Dinamo . In summer 2010 he returned to Dinamo Bucharest. For the second half of the 2010/11 season he was loaned to league competitor Unirea Urziceni , with whom he had to go to League II at the end of the season . He only got three assignments at Unirea. In the first half of 2011/12 he was not taken into account at Dinamo, so that he was loaned out to league rivals FCM Târgu Mureș during the second half of the season . There, too, he rarely got a chance. He returned to Bucharest in the summer of 2012, but was not used there in the 2012/13 season .

In the summer of 2013, Homei moved to ASA Târgu Mureş in Liga II. First division club Corona Braşov signed him during the winter break , with whom he had to relegate at the end of the 2013/14 season . Then he took the FC Botoșani under contract. In the summer of 2015, his contract was not renewed and Homei was without engagement for half a year. In February 2016, FC Academica Clinceni brought him into Liga II, where he was only used three times. In summer 2016 he moved to FK Neftochimik in the Bulgarian A Grupa .

Internationally, Homei has so far played for Romania's U-21 and U-23 selection.
