Sergo Datukashvili ( Georgian სერგო დათუკაშვილი ; born April 28, 1978 in Tbilisi / Soviet Union ) is a Georgian handball player who is mostly used in the left back area.

Sergo Datukashvili started playing handball in his hometown at Schewardeni GTU when he was 16. In 1998 - at the age of 20 - he moved to the German second division club CSG Erlangen . There he hardly got any match practice, so that after only one year he moved on to Alpha Daca Beirut. In 2000 he was obliged by the Serbian first division club Metaloplastika Šabac , but after a short time moved to RK Lovćen Cetinje . He then played for half a year with Pallamano Rubiera in Italy, Gas Kilkis in Greece and Expo Tres de Mayo in Tenerife . At the beginning of 2004 he finally moved to the Swedish second division club Olympic / Viking Helsingborg HK , where he knew how to convince, so that after six months he was signed by the first division club IFK Ystad HK . With the southern Swedes he reached the quarterfinals of the Swedish championship in 2005. In 2007 Datukashvili moved to TuS N-Lübbecke in the German handball league . With the East Westphalia he was relegated to the 2nd handball Bundesliga in 2008 ; then he moved on to RK Velenje , with whom he lost to VfL Gummersbach in the final of the 2008/09 EHF Cup and was Slovenian champion in 2009. In the 2010/11 season he played again in Germany for TBV Lemgo . He then joined the Slovak association Tatran Prešov.

Sergo Datukashvili has so far played over 45 international matches (as of 2010) for the Georgian national team, but has never qualified for a major international tournament with his country.
