Serhat Çokgezen

Serhat Çokgezen (born January 22, 1984 in Birkesdorf , Düren ) is a German actor .

Life

Çokgezen grew up in Düren and also attended the “Commercial Schools of the Düren District” here. From 2002 to 2005 he completed an acting training at the Arturo Drama School in Cologne . Even before completing his training, he played the role of Ferdinand in William Shakespeare's late work Der Sturm at the Arturo Theater in Cologne . In 2004 he joined the Orangerie Theater in Cologne Volksgarten as a kebab in the play Class Enemy by Nigel Williams on.

After completing his training, he had his first permanent engagement at the Schwaben State Theater in the 2005/06 season . There he played Mowgli in The Jungle Book , Don Carlos de Histangua in the comedy Flea in the ear of Georges Feydeau and Captain Deveroux in Wallenstein .

In 2006 he spoke the role of Firat in the detective radio play Snow on the Bosporus by Celil Oker at Westdeutscher Rundfunk .

Çokgezen then went to Istanbul for further studies, where he studied at the Academy for Cinema, Film and TV ( TÜRVAK ) from 2006 to 2007 . In Turkey he also appeared in several Turkish television series . In 2007 and 2008 he took part in theater productions in Istanbul. In 2009 he had a supporting role as Yasar in the Turkish film Kanımdaki Barut .

From March 2011 to April 2018 he played a leading role in the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante . In the series he embodied the smart, emotional German-Turkish police master Tarik Coban. In December 2016, Çokgezen was seen in the ZDF television series Heldt in an episode role; he played the Syrian kitchen helper Ibrahim al Shaar.

Çokgezen lives in Cologne and runs a restaurant.
