Servatius Church (Erfurt)

The Servatius Church was a parish church in the old town of Erfurt . It was on the corner of Parchamentergasse and Tournamentgasse.

history

The Servatiuskirche already existed as a parish church in 1181. Your parish was extremely small in 1234, it comprised only 46 houses, making it one of the smallest of the already small around 25 Erfurt parishes of the Middle Ages. In 1416 the church was destroyed in a fire and then rebuilt. In 1530 the Servatius Church was evangelical and only rarely used for church services. In 1701 it partially collapsed, so that it was completely demolished in 1716 for safety reasons.
