Seth Hinrichs (born March 24, 1993 ) is an American basketball player. The winger has been under contract with Ratiopharm Ulm since summer 2019 .
career
Hinrichs from Clara City (US state Minnesota ) played basketball at Maccray High School and from 2011 at Lafayette College (US state Pennsylvania ). He completed an economics degree at the university. Hinrichs excelled as an accurate distance thrower and scored a total of 209 three-point throws in 119 missions during his four years at college. He posted averages of 12.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per encounter. He held the office of captain in the university team.
After graduating from university, the Portuguese first division club FC Porto formed Hinrichs' first stop as a professional basketball player. There he also gained experience in the European club competition FIBA Europe Cup .
In the run-up to the 2016/17 season, the winger took part in a trial session with Bundesliga club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg , but was unable to recommend himself for a contract and instead moved to VfL Kirchheim in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .
In June 2017, Hinrichs moved to SC Rasta Vechta within the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . With Lower Saxony, he made it to the basketball Bundesliga as champion of the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in the 2017/18 season . Hinrichs was the top performer of the championship team, was on the field in 39 games this season and averaged 13.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per match. He was named Player of the Year in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA and remained loyal to Vechta even after being promoted to the Bundesliga. With the Lower Saxony he surprisingly reached the Bundesliga semi-finals in 2018/19, Hinrichs was the top performer of the surprise team and with an average of 12.8 points per game, the third-best basket scorer Rastas and Vechta's best in this statistical category with 5.3 rebounds. His good performances aroused the desire of other teams, in the summer break of 2019 he moved within the Bundesliga to Ratiopharm Ulm .
